It covers critical reading and writing; the writing process; the basics of standard English; planning for writing; style; and writing; business memos, business memos, letters; and reports.

Each student completing this course should (1) be able to write with more confidence and less frustration, (2) be able to write more effective memos, letters, and reports, (3) have the skills necessary for reading and writing well and know how to apply those skills to on-the-job writing, and (4) be able to think more clearly and translate those thoughts into clear writing.
