This section lists the insurance professional designations available, profiles them, and shows how and where you can fulfill the requirements to obtain the designation itself.

Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)

This professional insurance education program is designed for experienced insurance practitioners. The courses in the program cover a broad range of insurance, risk management, and general business topics, building on a foundation of ethical principles are applied to the treatment of personal and commercial loss exposures, and more than 50 insurance policies are analyzed in detail. The operational functions performed by insurers in providing insurance protection are examined in depth.

Earning the CPCU designation requires passing nine national examinations and meeting the Related Studies requirement as well as having a minimum of three years� experience in the insurance business and abiding by the American Institute�s Code of Professional Ethics.
