This section lists the insurance professional designations available, profiles them, and shows how and where you can fulfill the requirements to obtain the designation itself.

Introduction to Property and Liability Insurance (INTRO)

This 11-assignment course is intended to meet the needs of a wide range of clerical, technical and managerial employees, including those employed by insurance companies, agencies, brokerage houses, and adjusting firms. Designed primarily for people who are new to the study of insurance, the course is a appropriate both for newcomers to the business and for more experienced employees with limited formal insurance education who would benefit from a general understanding of how the property-liability insurance business works.

Through this course, employees will learn how their work complements others. Examples, anecdotes, and illustrations demonstrate the importance of each insurance role. While describing the various jobs in insurance, the course introduces a number of property-liability insurance policies and principles. The national exam is available on request (not a fixed date). Successful completers receive a Certificate of Completion.
