ABOUT THE AUTHORS


JENNIFER J. ALBY, JD, is director of planned giving at The American College. Ms. Alby received her BA from  the University of Minnesota and her JD from William Mitchell College of Law.

GEORGE ALDEN, MBA, MSFS, is a registered representative of NYLIFE Securities, Inc. He has been with   New York Life since March 1979. Mr. Alden received his BA from Texas A&M in 1974 and his MBA from     the University of Wyoming in 1977. In 1996 he earned his MSFS degree from The American College.

BURTON T. BEAM, Jr., MBA, MA, CLU, ChFC, CPCU, is director of continuing education at The American  College. He is also responsible for the course material on health insurance and group insurance in the programs leading to the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Registered Health Underwriter (RHU), and Registered Employee Benefits Consultant (REBC) professional designations. Mr. Beam received his BA and his MBA from the University of Oregon and his MA from the University of Pennsylvania.

ROGER C. BIRD, PhD, holds the Frank M. Engle Distinguished Chair in Economic Security Research at The American College and is also professor of economics. He is responsible for course material on financial institutions, portfolio management, and mutual funds in the Graduate School program. Dr. Bird received his BA degree from Lafayette College and his MA and PhD from the University of Pennsylvania.

ALAN C. BUGBEE, JR., PhD, is the director of psychometric services at the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in St. Paul, Minnesota. He is the former director of educational systems and former associate professor of psychology at The American College. Dr. Bugbee received his BA from the University of Vermont, his MA Ed and MPA from George Washington University, and his PhD from the University of Pittsburgh.

DAVID M. CORDELL, PhD, CFA, CFP, CLU, is associate professor of finance at The American College. His course responsibilities are in the areas of financial and retirement planning. Dr. Cordell earned his BA at The University of Texas at Austin, where he also received his MBA and PhD in financial management and investments.

CHARLES S. DI LULLO, MBA, CPA, CLU, ChFC, PFS, is the vice president of finance and treasurer of The American College. He is also an associate professor of accounting, responsible for the Graduate School program’s Financial Statement Analysis and Business Valuation courses. Mr. Di Lullo received his BA from St. Joseph’s University and his MBA from Drexel University.

RONALD F. DUSKA, PhD, holds the Charles Lamont Post Chair of Ethics and the Professions and is professor of ethics at The American College. He is responsible for course material on ethics in the Graduate School programs. Dr. Duska received his BA from St. Mary’s Seminary, his MA from St. John’s University, and his PhD from Northwestern University.

THOMAS A. DZIADOSZ, MA, CLU, ChFC, is associate professor of economics at The American College. He is responsible for HS 322 The Financial System in the Economy and examination development for various Huebner School and Graduate School courses. Mr. Dziadosz received his BA from LaSalle University and his MA from the University of Connecticut.

CONSTANCE J. FONTAINE, JD, LLM, CLU, ChFC, is associate professor of taxation at The American College and develops examination material for courses in estate planning and taxation. She is also responsible for HS 330 Fundamentals of Estate Planning I. Ms. Fontaine received her BS from Beaver College, her JD from Widener University School of Law, and her LLM from Villanova University.

EDWARD E. GRAVES, MA, CLU, ChFC, is associate professor of insurance at The American College. He is responsible for the courses in the CLU and ChFC designation programs dealing with individual insurance products and insurance law. Mr. Graves earned his BS from California State University at Los Angeles and his MA at the University of Pennsylvania.

JAMES F. IVERS III, JD, LLM, ChFC, is professor of taxation at The American College. His responsibilities at the College include revising and developing HS 321 Income Taxation. He is an author or editor of several books in the College’s Huebner School series. Mr. Ivers received his BA from the Villanova University Honors Program and his JD and LLM from Boston University School of Law.

TED KURLOWICZ, JD, LLM, CLU, ChFC, is professor of taxation at The American College. His College responsibilities include preparation of courses in estate planning and planning for business owners and professionals. He received his BS from the University of Connecticut, his MA from the University of Pennsylvania, his JD from the Delaware Law School, and his LLM from the Villanova University School of Law.

THOMAS P. LANGDON, JD, LLM, MBA, MSFS, CLU, ChFC, CFA, is assistant professor of taxation for The American College. He is responsible for material on estate planning and business succession planning for various Heubner School and Graduate School courses. Mr. Langdon earned his BS and MBA degrees from the University of Connecticut, his MSFS degree from The American College, and his JD from Western New England College School of Law.

STEPHAN R. LEIMBERG, JD, CLU, is professor of taxation and estate planning at The American College. He is also adjunct professor of estate planning in the Tax Master’s program of Temple University’s School of Law. Mr. Leimberg holds a BA from Temple University and a JD from Temple University School of Law.

DAVID A. LITTELL, JD, is associate professor of taxation at The American College. He is responsible for course and textbook development for HS 326 Planning for Retirement Needs, HS 336 Financial Decision Making at Retirement, and HS 341 Selected Retirement Planning Topics. Mr. Littell received a BA in psychology from Northwestern University and earned his JD at the Boston University School of Law.

JOHN J. McFADDEN, MA, JD, is professor of taxation at The American College. Mr. McFadden is responsible for the College’s graduate courses in advanced pension and retirement planning and executive compensation. His BA is from Lehigh University, with an MA from the University of Rochester and a JD from Harvard Law School.

MICHAEL J. ROSZKOWSKI, PhD, is associate professor of psychology and director of marketing research at The American College. Dr. Roszkowski earned his BS at St. Joseph’s University and his MEd and PhD at Temple University. He is a licensed psychologist.

WILLIAM J. RUCKSTUHL, MBA, CLU, ChFC, is associate professor of finance at The American College. He is responsible for course material on investment and financial planning in the programs leading to both the CLU and ChFC designations. Mr. Ruckstuhl received his BS from Grove City College and his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania.
